'I'M LIVING IN MY BODY FOR THE FIRST TIME'
Eight months after beginning hormone therapy as part of gender reassignment, Chaz Bono, 40, told ET, "My outsides are finally starting to match my insides.... I'm literally going through puberty." While the hormones "[don't] change anything mentally and emotionally," he said, "they lowered my voice. Fat redistributes, muscle growth, hair growth, sex drive increases." Chaz called the process "slow" ("I will be changing for about four to five years," he explained), but revealed that he's begun shaving and got shaving products for his birthday. "I feel like I'm living in my body for the first time," he said. "It feels really good."
